This is MAJOR NEWS! This would show the data below is wrong.
Assuming this identification to be correct, and the reader is aware that it rests on an accumulation of other evidence rather than on absolute proof. Once source is the famlysearch.org birth record
Christening: 11 November 1841 SAINT MICHAEL,BARBADOES,CARIBBEAN
According to THFS, this would show the first born as Samuel with the maiden name from the family; Taylor, and not Richard.
Since there was no exact citation, going with this one. The birth would match as probably born 9 months after marriage in October, if Baptism was Nov 11.
Roy: Spent entire evening after an exhaustive last minute dive to add lineages from the 1400's last night. This evening scoured the Internet search term "Barbados Families (Genealogies) From Caribbeana" in order to buy the book. Found 2 at $60.
Found it's Index and does not list our familes, so no need to buy.
As usual all searches received no matches. Then in the UK site started with George (no proof he even exists in Bristol) and worked my way down through Richard, then Caroline. Low and behold, I find this listing of the son with a middle name and them listed as the parents. This should also cofirm the identity of Samuel Henry Croney's parents. For some reason he does not show on anyones genealogy radar, except ours.Did an Irish jig for the cat, that is how big this find is.
A notation should be added to Mary's book, as she has Richard.

NEW -SPECIAL THANKS TO GARY
"Mr. Christopherson: Thank you for your inquiry.
A search of our records indicates that the late Mr. Samuel T. Croney was interred on June 11, 1921, in Space #2, NE ¼ Lot 76, Section 4 Evergreen Addition, Evergreen Cemetery, Gainesville, FL. Unfortunately, there is no more information in our records regarding Mr. Croney.

There is no headstone to mark his gravesite at Evergreen Cemetery. The cemetery was privately-owned at the time of Mr. Croney's interment; the City of Gainesville purchased Evergreen Cemetery in 1944. I do not have any information regarding Mr. Croney's spouse, Annie C. Croney, or if she was interred next to Mr. Croney.
I hope this information is helpful. Here is the link to the website for Evergreen Cemetery: www.thiswondrousplace.org.
Thanks. Gary"

With the help of the local Librarian;
"I found in a 1920 Gainesville directory on Ancestry.com a Thomas H. Bellamy, who was a chief clerk at the White House hotel, and his wife Eva H. Bellamy who lived at 331 N. Palmetto St in Gainesville at the time. Not sure if that's the person you're looking for, but it sounds like it could be. Just sent you that image - let me know if you have problems opening it. N Palmetto St is now NE 8th St in Gainesville - names got changed to numbered streets in 1950."
AS Ref/Sylvia

Possibly where they once lived, if I have the right T H Bellamy (Google Map).

William Reuben Thomas
Thomas also owned two hotels. The White House Hotel was a hostelry, or home for travelers, that Thomas opened in 1909. (Wiki)

SYNOPSIS
I believe as the Taylor family left for Ontario having sold off their Barbados Plantation and freeing their slaves, arriving in ONT abt. 1848, Wm. & John Taylor's sister, Caroline TAYLOR Croney passed away, and her children moved to FL & Kings, NY. Caroline's story is a romance novel in itself that will never be told. Thanks to librarian, I believe Mrs. Thomas H Bellamy known as Eva Croney b. in Barbados in 1869, moved to Brooklyn NY in 1900, having immigrated in 1898, where she was single at age 26 living with many as a lodger in Brooklyn, married Thomas in 1910, then moved to Gainesville Florida where Thomas was a chief clerk at the White House hotel in 1920, and his wife Eva H. Bellamy (our subject here) lived at 331 N. Palmetto St. Her father, Samuel Taylor Croney, Caroline's son came to visit and passed away there. Eva and Thomas were living in NY Kings, NY in 1940. Possible she died there Oct 1974. One family letter talks about their visiting family in Canada.

The mission now has between fifty and sixty communicants and about fifty or sixty children In the Sunday school, and the work has entirely outgrown the capacity of the two rooms in which the services and the Sunday school have been held. GEN 3 - Samuel Henry Croney & Caroline Taylor
See GEN 2 below, # 9
From Barbados Library, purchased copy of Newspaper account of their marriage (See RND Taylor 2).
Volume 09 (Included under Richard Taylor), [Roy believes this is Caroline TAYLOR Croney] . The Journal of the B.M.H.S. - "December 16. Married. On Saturday last at the Cathedral, Mr. Samuel Henry Croney to Caroline [Taylor], third daughter [she should be last) of Richard Taylor, Esq. Same day at St. Stephens Chapel." Page 142, 1840 newspaper
So this would say they were married DEC 16 1840. There is only one Samuel on Barbados by this name.

So Enmore was up for sale 1838, Richard the Eldest took possesion, and Caroline married. If she was born 1828 she would be 12 in 1840, dying 3 years later along with her husband..

There is a reference to a "Harriet Crones?" who was ill 1844 and would be missed by Caroline's two babies. [31]
Roy found a harriet 1814, and Samuel's sister born abt. 1809 3 records of the two here.
Possible the letter was transcribed incorrectly and this refers to possibly Samuel's father's sister? If it is Croney,
it would be more proof.
